Pru Ashby
Pru is Vice President, Business Development in New York, Head of Technology and Senior Business Development Manager in London at London & Partners and also Head of Partnerships at Tech City UK. Her core skills are sales and major account management, inward investment and international business development and team leadership and development. Her experience spans 24 years working for small and large businesses in the UK and in other countries including Australia (9 years), New Zealand (1 year) and China (3 years). Pru has also travelled extensively for leisure and business covering major markets such as the USA and recently the Middle East, particularly the UAE. North Sydney College of TAFE, University of Nottingham. Her key interests are a combination of travel and sport: Pru founded and recruited the first ladies cricket team in China. She has gained the RYA Competent Crew Certificate and owned and sailed her own Laser in Sydney. She has completed 2 half marathons and a triathlon, trekked the Inca Trail in Peru, camped at Everest Base Camp in Tibet and climbed Mount Kenya (5199m high and second highest mountain in Africa). Pru has captained the Wimbledon Hockey Club 3rd XI. She helped coordinate, close sponsorship and took part in a charity bike ride from Paris to London (200 miles) for 40 people from the London tech community in September 2012.
